Administration Of Medicines
All medicines must be kept in the school office and a medical form needs to be completed by the parent / carer. This form not only gives permission for the school to administer medicine that needs to be taken during school hours but ensures that the appropriate dose is administered correctly. Only medicine prescribed by a doctor should be sent into school.

Teachers use Class Dojo to promote positive behaviors in their classroom and to strengthen lines of communication between school and home. This is done primarily through Class Dojo’s ‘Dojo Point’ system and messaging system that connects teachers and parents. Class Dojo is fully accessible on computers, tablets, smartphones, and can even be used on interactive whiteboards and projectors.
Positive values are
- Helping others
- On task
- Working hard
Negative Values are:
- No homework
- Off task
- Talking out of turn
Parents can access Class Dojo through the company’s website or by downloading the iOS or Android apps. Parents can access behavior information for multiple children across multiple classrooms by adding each unique access code assigned to them. Parents can view their child’s behavior ‘donut’, a circle graph that shows the breakdown of behaviors for the chosen time period. Parent profiles include access to Class Story, Messages, Notifications, and ‘Your Kids’ to move between multiple student profiles. Within the website or app, parents can receive and send messages to their child’s teacher.
Bredenbury Primary School uniform consists of gold polo shirt, burgundy sweatshirt and black or grey trousers or skirt. Our PE kit is black shorts and white polo shirt. Burgundy coats and sweatshirts and gold polo shirts are available to purchase from school. Uniform purchased in school has the advantage of including the school logo, which is particularly useful in identifying our pupils outside of school. Our current supplier offers good quality clothing for a reasonable cost. There is, of course, no requirement for you to purchase your uniform from us. We also have pre-loved school uniform for sale in school. Please speak to Miss Attwell to see what is currently available. Please ensure all uniform is clearly marked with your child’s name.
PE and Sport Funding
Swimming lessons for the whole school will take place during the Autumn term. We make use of our extensive field and football pitch as weather permits and sports coaches attend regularly to provide specialist coaching. Primary School PE and Sport is constantly under review and curriculum enhancements made as resources are extended.
