Please contact the school for up to date government policy and / or legal requirements.
Administration Of Medicines
All medicines must be kept in the school office and a medical form needs to be completed by the parent / carer. This form not only gives permission for the school to administer medicine that needs to be taken during school hours but ensures that the appropriate dose is administered correctly. Only medicine prescribed by a doctor should be sent into school.
1/3 pint cartons of semi-skimmed milk are available to order from www.coolmilk.com. Milk needs to be pre-ordered and paid for online. Children under 5 years of age are entitled to free milk. Should you wish your child to receive milk in school, please register online with cool milk who will then arrange for delivery to school.
Hot school lunches are £2.30 per day and provided by Black Pepper. Lunches need to be pre-ordered and paid for online at www.blackpepperlunches.com. Packed lunches are welcome but please ensure that they are as healthy as possible. No chocolate, fizzy drinks or sweets.
Parents receiving DSS benefits may be entitled to free school meals for their children but the form FSM/4/88 must be completed first, which is availble from the office.
Our behaviour scheme is based on a Zone Board. Every child starts on the green zone every day. Good behaviour and if their work ethic is good, they go up the zones on the board, highest being gold. Bad behaviour they will go down the zone board, lowest being red. At the end of the day, all children on the gold zone receive a raffle ticket that is entered into the end of week class raffle. At the end of term all weekly winners are entered from each class into a big end of term raffle.
Bredenbury Primary School uniform consists of gold polo shirt, burgundy sweatshirt and black or grey trousers or skirt. Our PE kit is black shorts and white polo shirt. Burgundy coats and sweatshirts and gold polo shirts are available to purchase from school. Uniform purchased in school has the advantage of including the school logo, which is particularly useful in identifying our pupils outside of school. Our current supplier offers good quality clothing for a reasonable cost. There is, of course, no requirement for you to purchase your uniform from us. We also have pre-loved school uniform for sale in school. Please speak to Miss Attwell to see what is currently available. Please ensure all uniform is clearly marked with your child’s name.
