International Visitors

On Friday we were thrilled to welcome International visitors Vera Runacres and her daughter Jo Collins from Australia.

We also welcomed Vera's brother Peter Lilley and his wife Elizabeth who are almost international, having travelled all the way from the Isle of Wight.

Vera and Peter are former pupils of the school and travelled especially to visit us.

We were able to find references to them in our archived records, including our original school log and we found out that they had been pupils for longer than they had remembered.

Both staff and our visitors had a great time and we were sorry when they had to go. We all learned so much.

Jo Collins -
“We had a fantastic time and Mum and Uncle Peter shed many a tear looking at the old logs and reminiscing about the school. Many thanks to Lizzie and Dawn and their amazing staff for their hard work and their wonderful welcome”.
